Mac and Cheese Meatloaf Casserole


 



The best of both worlds—comforting meatloaf topped with creamy mac and cheese, all baked together for a hearty dinner.


Ingredients:


  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups prepared macaroni and cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese


Directions:


Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.


In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Press the mixture into the bottom of the greased baking dish.


Spread the prepared macaroni and cheese over the meatloaf layer. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.


Bake for 35-40 minutes until the meat is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Let sit for a few minutes before slicing and serving.


Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 40 minutes
